Fibrepoint have developed a high speed home fibre optic network which already includes a low voltage DC network, we now propose to develop the DC part of our system to power products around the home as part of a intelligent home system, making use of local Micro-generation energy to save up to 40% currently wasted by power adapters. A prototype system was selected for installation at the Buildings Research Establishment and has already created interest for other projects around the country.
